Meet Suri.
Suri, born on a rural rice farm in northeast Thailand, came to the US to work in her cousin’s restaurant. She was 19 and spoke no English. Gradually, she became pretty good with our language and with her restaurant skills.
She started from the bottom up as a dishwasher and grew, over the years, to know well the in’s and out’s of the restaurant business.
A hard worker and a clever girl, she was spurred on by the desire to make her family in Thailand proud of her. Suri’s childlike faith, a faith which still runs deep in her soul, hung onto the belief that someday she would attain her American Dream: owning and managing her own restaurant. The Asian Invasion is Suri’s dream come true. Be a part of Suri’s story. You will come as strangers, but leave as friends.
